Rome, September 1st 2025 – Video Progetti, a leading system integrator and technology reseller in the broadcast and media sector, is proud to announce that it has been awarded a major tender by RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana, for the supply of a cutting-edge UHD-HD video switching solution.
The winning proposal is built around Grass Valley’s renowned K-Frame video processing engine, widely recognized for its versatility, performance, and reliability. The system architecture allows seamless integration with all modular control panels from the Grass Valley range, including Kayenne, Karrera, Korona, offering unmatched configuration flexibility to meet the operational needs of a modern production environment.
In line with the technical specifications outlined in the RAI tender, the proposed solution ensures maximum compatibility and future-readiness, supporting both IP and SDI signal standards. This includes ST 2110-20/30/40, ST 2022-7, NMOS IS-04/05 protocols, as well as legacy UHD-SDI, 3G-SDI, and HD-SDI formats. Such hybrid flexibility makes the K-Frame the ideal switching platform for RAI’s evolving production workflows.

The project also includes comprehensive professional services, commissioning, and training programs, as explicitly required in the tender specifications.
